Fear is Contagious But So Is Courage

In war, each soldier is only as brave as the man standing next to him. If enough soldiers are afraid and start running away, that fear can easily spread across the entire army. Once the entire army succumbs to fear, then the battle is already lost. But if enough soldiers display bravery and courage, then that courage boosts the morale of the entire army. Standing next to a fearful man will cause a person to be fearful, but standing next to a brave man will inspire a person to be brave. That is why in war, the general puts the bravest men on the frontlines. And in sometimes in past wars, deserters and cowards were executed by their own generals.

When we look at the state of the world right now in 2024, it's easy to give into the feeling of fear and anxiety because of how crazy things seem. In times of crisis, it is extremely important that one learns how to manage his emotions. If you struggle to manage your emotions in times of peace, then how can you expect to manage your emotions in times of crisis. Right now in America which is a first world country, so many young people are struggling with anxiety. Understandably there was the pandemic and rising costs of living. And there is still the threat of a pending World War 3 as I'm writing this. But no matter what happens, we must never succumb to fear and hopelessness. For the sake of the world let us be courageous.
