These days, it's become common to see everyone young and old glued to their screens. With so much entertainment readily available at our fingertips, it's way too easy to fall into addiction. I've personally fallen victim to smartphone addiction over the years. I told myself I would only use it for an hour, then one hour became two, and two became three. Recently, I started to feel light headed and sick after being on my smartphone. This caused me to be a lot more self aware of my habits.
Humans were not meant to be starting at screens all day. That's a fact.
In addition to smartphones being a bad habit, I realized that the presence of smartphones is having an adverse effect on people's health.
I first started to question the safety of smartphone use when I came across an article about France banning the Iphone 12 because the radiation levels were too high.
If even the mainstream news says something is bad for you, then it really is bad for you.
People have differing levels of self-control. Some have more or less self-control than others. We all know smartphones are bad for us, but we still use them anyways. To say "don't use smartphones," is going to have no effect on people. But at this point, awareness of the dangers can help with management.
