You can argue that the term "good guys and "bad guys" is a subjective term. But deep down we subconsciously can intuitively feel if a person is good or bad. We know good music when we hear it because it resonates with the human soul. Universally we can all agree that one of the most beautiful melodies in the world is Ode to Joy by Beethoven. But if you just randomly slammed your fists on a piano, it would sound unpleasant and that's something most of us can agree on.
Even when it comes to people, we can agree if that person is good or evil because of the energy that they radiate. If you look at a photo of Adolf Hitler or Joseph Stalin, you can feel this evil energy radiating from them. Versus if you look at a photo of Mother Teresa, you can feel that she radiates this positive loving energy. Or look at Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr. and they radiate a courageous energy that uplifts humanity. What's inside a person's heart will eventually manifest on the outside in their actions and appearance.
We don't need more Hitlers or Stalins in this world. We need more Mother Teresa's, Lincolns, and MLKs. We need more good people in this world. Good people restrain the forces of darkness from completely taking over the world. It's the presence of good people that keeps the world from completely descending into anarchy.
I once heard a Christian say that when the rapture happens, and the true believers are taken away, the world is going to be a dark and scary place. Jesus commanded His followers to be salt and light in Matthew 5. You and I were placed here on this earth to be salt and light. When we wake up for another day, there is a reason God allowed us to live another day. Let us continue to seek God and seek to make the world a better place.
13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:13-14.
